NCAA Clearinghouse applications should be completed by all seniors who think they might play sports at a Division I or Division II college. This is done online at Be sure to notify the guidance office so we can send the necessary transcripts.

Scholarship Opportunities

First New York Federal Credit Union Scholarship

Four $1000 Scholarships will be awarded according to the following criteria:

-The applicant must be a First New York FCU member in good standing

-The applicant must be a graduating high school senior

-The applicant must plan to attend an accredited two-year or four-year college

-The applicant must be an active volunteer and/or active in the community

Veterans of Lansingburgh, Inc.

$1000 scholarship awarded to a well-rounded student who understands the importance of being charitable in serving veterans through volunteerism.

Applicant must be a high school senior and a direct descendant of a U.S. Veteran who served on active duty in the Armed Forces or was a member of a Reserve or National Guard component and was either honorably discharged or is still in that capacity.

Stop in Guidance for an application. Deadline is April 1, 2017.

Cornell Cooperative Extension Scholarships

Several scholarship opportunities are offered to Rensselaer County seniors. Examples incluse nursing, agriculture, forestry, consumer sciences, natural resource management, environmental engineering, pharmacology and safe driving. Stop in Guidnace office for more information. Deadlines are May 1, 2017.

UEL Wade Music Scholarship

Scholarships up to $5000 for all high school students who are singers or musicians.

Aspiring Nurse Scholarship

Open to all seniors who plan to pursue a college education in nursing including LPN/LVN, ADN, and BSN programs. Student must demonstrate a track record of academic excellence, particularly in science and math, and also have a passion for the nursing profession and the overall field of healthcare.
