CCHS Random Acts of Kindness & Bullying Prevention
Students Helping Students: Bullying Prevention Scholarship
Last year, the CCHS Social Media Club wanted to end their successful year by proving that media can have positive impacts. We did this by starting the first annual Random Acts of Kindness Day to raise awareness about the positive things people can do for others. To help us prove this we are once again asking for donations. Last year the club started a "Bullying Prevention Scholarship" that gave money to a student that was switching schools because of bullying and who's parents need financial assistance in sending him here. Although the school offered to help assist this student financially as much as they could, the club wanted to take matters into their own hands. We, the club, wanted to find a way to take this student's negative experience with social media and bullying and turn it positive by raising the money ourselves by inspiring kindness. Last year we raised enough to send this student to CCHS for a year, but we need to keep raising money to support this student!
